March 1983, Spotted Outside a BK in Burbank
I saw Melody outside a Burger King, drunk on cheeseburgers with two women. I walked up and said hello, recognizing her from an editorial spread in ‘W’ from the previous month. She pretended that she didn’t know what i was talking about and then she said, “hey . . . Hey . . . check it out”, got up on the table and started singing ”Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun”, while she did the Roger Rabit dance. It was so weird, but the song did make me hungry, so i went in and got a burger.
